garrett's birthday pics

I know these pics are a little late and out of order, but I wanted everyone to see how excited Garrett was by his presents this year. I don't know if it was the mood he was in, but we got more of a reaction to these gifts than we did for Christmas! He was able to take a friend to Peter Piper Pizza on his actual birthday and then he had a sleepover on Friday.

From Aunt Maggie and Uncle Heath-a new helmet to wear with his electric scooter. You will be happy to know he has decorated it with the stickers you sent and he wears it every day!

Books and a movie from Grandma Barb and Grandpa Mike. He has already read the shark attack book and said he LOVED it! He watched the movie at his birthday sleepover.

You can never go wrong with this kid if money is involved. He actually got so much from Grandma Olsen and Grandma and Grandpa Cooper that we opened a savings account for him. Thanks to everyone who sent gifts and called him on his birthday. I can't believe I have a 10 year old boy! I am not old enough for that :)

1st baseball game of the season!

So this year Garrett decided that baseball was the sport to try. Today was his first game and it was a lot of fun. His team didn't win, but they all had a good time. His coach is really into making sure the kids have a good time and don't feel bad if they miss the ball or anything.

On his first at bat, Garrett hit the ball. It was a foul, but at least he made contact with the ball! And like his coach said, "We can only get better from here!"

Even the kids who hit the ball well, don't hit into the outfield very often. The boys in the outfield were all a little bored each inning.
