Swimming at the clubhouse with Grandma Olsen and Kyleigh!

Grandma Olsen and Kyleigh were house sitting for Sheila for a couple of weeks, so the kids got to spend some time with them. They spent this morning swimming for 3 hours and then came home to color Easter eggs. As you can see they all had a great time!

pinewood derby 2011

We all had a great time attending the 2011 pinewood derby races. Garrett was so proud of his car, it looks kind of like Lightning McQueen, but he named it Flame Rod.

It wasn't the fastest car of the races, but he won the Judge's Choice award for overall design.

It is really fun to go to Garrett's baseball games and cheer him on. His team decided to call themselves the White Knights. It is such a great time to spend with the other families and friends. Grace and Jack have lots of fun playing with all the baseball siblings in the shade. I am sure by the last game we will all be cooking in the sun, but for now it is perfect!

catching

This season Garrett has had the opportunity to try catching. It is a different experience for the kids, because they have to wear all sorts of extra gear.

He didn't hate it, but it is not his favorite thing to do in a baseball game. These pics are from practice, but he also was the catcher for one inning during the game on Saturday.

The other thing about being a catcher this time of year is the heat. When he took off his gear Garrett was super sweaty and hot!

You can see Jack is super hot too. We came prepared with lots of drinks and squirt bottles with water to keep everyone cool.
