swimming lessons

Grace and Jack took swimming lessons for 2 weeks this summer. They had a lot of fun, I don't think they learned a lot though. Next summer we are going to have to have them signed up for more than one session.

dinosaur museum

When we were in Utah in June we all went to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. I let Garrett carry around the camera and these are just a few of the almost 100 pictures that he took. Click on the picture to see it bigger.

Grace has mastered the alphabet song and she can also spell her name, just in case you can't hear it very clearly.

Here is a sample of Grace's adorable handwriting and coloring. I can't believe that she can write her name already!

Happy birthday to Jennifer! We can't wait to see you next month!

computer time!

Grace has started to learn how to play games on the computer. Her favorite site to visit is Nick Jr. and she plays Dora, Blues Clues and Wonder Pets the most. Please ignore the jelly on her face :)

sprinkler fun!

The kids wanted to play in the sprinklers today. It was only 9am, but plenty warm for them to be in the sun and water, 80 degrees! It was short lived, though. We only stayed outside about 15 minutes before they decided they were ready to go back inside.

camping in china

Grace's preschool class was talking about traveling, vacations and trips. They read a few stories and then the teacher asked the class if anyone had been on a trip or vacation that they wanted to talk about. Grace raised her hand and this is what she said:

"I went camping in China. We had s'mores and a campfire and it was lots of fun. I love camping in China!"

Now don't ask me how she even knows what China is, but she was quite convincing. Maybe someday!

happy easter . . . a little late

Silly girl

It got quiet in the house and I couldn't find Grace. After a few minutes of calling her name, I found her on this chair all bundled up in a blanket. It was quite windy and she was just sitting and watching the birds in the yard. What a funny girl!

playing our new sandbox

Grandma Barb brought us her sandbox when she visited last month. The kids love it! They play in it everyday. I don't know how long the sand will stay in the ladybug at the rate they are dumping it out, but at least it is not expensive to replace. As long as they are having fun!

swimming with grandma

We had a great time with Grandma Barb and Grandpa Mike visiting us in Arizona. They stayed at a hotel so the kids would have a pool to play in. They all had so much fun swimming in the pool. It took Jack a little while to get used to the life jacket, but once he did, it was impossible to get him out of the pool.
